Ever wonder what it would be like to have a Game of Thrones character out into the real world? I haven’t really thought of it, but comedian Seth Meyers have and decided to bring Game of Thrones Red Priestess, Melisandre (of all people) to a baby shower.
The skit shows Meyers and his wife, Alexi Ashe, holding a baby shower since they’re expecting. As it happens, Meyers went to North Westeros University with Melisandre and he invited her to come over since they’re friends and all.
At first, it was going pretty well, until the Red Priestess started going on about shadow demons and Greyscale, and warning about how “the night is dark and full of terrors.”
It probably isn’t worth anything, but did you catch her line about Jon Snow? I’m sure it was just part of the skit, but it got me thinking how she didn’t really say that he’s dead for sure. She just said “that’s how he was left.”
In the end, what counts is that Melisandre did attempt to be positive after several pleads from Meyers to keep the conversation light. But Knowing Melisandre and Game of Thrones, the show doesn’t end without a death.
