Meredith McCardle is an avid Harry Potter fan who has a blank wall inside her home, so she decided to paint the first page of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone on that wall because, why not?

The task cannot be magically finished though. The published author originally took on the task believing it would be a fun weekend project, but it took her over 60 hours and three weeks to actually finish the wall.

In an interview with the Huffington Post, McCardle said she wanted a French poem on the wall at first, but “[a] friend pointed out that one, I don’t speak French, and two, I’m not a poet, so she encouraged me to pick something a little more personal.” And because she’s someone who says “Harry Potter is a religion” on her Twitter profile, she didn’t waste any more time thinking about what to write on the wall.

She also told Bored Panda that the most difficult part of painting the wall “was keeping the projector straight. I had to redo the first paragraph because it was crooked, and from that point on, I had to measure line by line and adjust the projector as I go.”

Talk about a dedicated Harry Potter fan. As hard as it looks though, the concept is actually quite a good idea for decorating one’s room. I could just imagine “In a galaxy far, far away” written on my wall.
