This Epic Surprise Awaits Fans Who’ll Buy the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Vinyl Set

John Williams’ musical scores for Star Wars: The Force Awakens were all such masterpieces, that any Star Wars fan would want to purchase The Force Awakens soundtrack, which is also available in vinyl. There aren’t many people nowadays who own a vinyl player, so it might be a hard purchase for many.

Well, to entice Star Wars fans who are having second thoughts over the purchase of The Force Awakens vinyl album, Disney has released a video that features an amazing surprise that the vinyl offers once it’s being played. It shows a hologram image of none other than the Millennium Falcon!

In the video, Lucasfilm’s Director of Marketing & Product Management Paulo Da Costa said that the idea of the hologram image began when they were thinking of a way to make the vinyl experience even greater for Star Wars fans. They eventually came up with the hologram idea and they contacted artist and holographer Tristan Duke to make it happen. Duke said he made the hologram by carving grooves into the vinyl that records light.

What an amazing innovation!

Take a look at the video below:

The technical innovation isn’t something usually seen today, but it is commonplace in the Star Wars universe.

This reminds me of watching A New Hope for the first time and seeing that hologram message of Princess Leia shown by R2-D2.

I have to say that Lucasfilm has certainly done an epic job of making the vinyl experience more amazing for the fans. I can’t wait to get a hold of this set.

This Star Wars: The Force Awakens 2-LP hologram soundtrack will be available for purchase on June 17.
