The live-action AKIRA film has gone through years of development hell, and there's still no sign if the idea will actually manifest, but this concept art of Chris Evans and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the Kaneda and Tetsuo roles would rekindle fans' wish this cyberpunk film would come to life.
The art came from director Ruairí Robinson, who was attached in one of the film’s many incarnations. The concept art was shared in 2014, but Bloody Disgusting just spread the word about it. Check them out:

Back in March, a live-action AKIRA TV series was being considered in Japan.
