The weekend has been full of huge trailer drops, and one of them is our first look at Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. The trailer did give us some pretty cool reveals, but Mr. Sunday Movies on Youtube has broken down all the things that we didn't quite grasp in the first trailer.
Check it out:
For one, it looks like we'll be going back to the original Jurassic Park once again, and there's a lot of nods to the first movie. For example, the upside-down jeep in the trailer when Owen and Blue meet could be the very same one from the T-Rex attack in the first film. The tires from the back are missing, just like when it was bitten off by the T-Rex.
Also, I've never noticed it before, but the human characters in the franchise do have a tendency to be bad at relationships. Alan Grant didn't stay Ellie, and Ian Malcolm has his slew of ex-wives.
What's more, since we can't be able to see more of John Hammond, a new character will be introduced in the film in the form of Benjamin Lockwood (James Cromwell) who is said to be Hammond's original partner; even holding his own black stick with the fossilized mosquito.
All-in-all, the movie still looks interesting, and I'm curious on what J.A. Bayona has to bring to the table. Despite its success, a lot of people tend to say that Jurassic World was pretty forgettable, and one thing that people seem to remember the most about it is the fact that Bryce Dallas Howard can outrun a T-Rex on her heels.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom comes out June 22, 2018.
