There's A Lengthier Version Of The Teen Groot Scene From GOTG Vol. 2

With the release of James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 on home video, a lot of new reveals are coming out for the movie, and now we have an extended look at the post-credits scene with Teen Groot and Peter Quill. Check it out:

James Gunn has went on to explain that Groot's species grows very differently, and Baby Groot in the movie would have been 2 months old by the time of the movie. With the first Guardians, Groot would have been several hundred years old, but judging by the timeline, Groot will still be a teen by the time Avengers: Infinity War hits screens.

You'll also notice in the clip that Peter Quill finally understands Groot in the same way that Rocket does, which could mean a lot for the group dynamic. It would be a while before we get to see the Guardians in their own solo movie again, but for now, we'll just have to settle for them appearing alongside the freakin' Avengers in Avengers: Infinity War.

Peter Quill and his fellow Guardians are hired by a powerful alien race, the Sovereign, to protect their precious batteries from invaders. When it is discovered that Rocket has stolen the items they were sent to guard, the Sovereign dispatch their armada to search for vengeance. As the Guardians try to escape, the mystery of Peter's parentage is revealed.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is now available in digital, but it comes out for Blu-Ray and DVD this coming Aug. 22.
