The Witcher's Geralt Officially Announced For Soul Calibur VI

It looks like the rumors are true. Geralt of Rivia is officially one of the guest characters for Soul Calibur VI and still seems to be voiced by Mikal Zebrowski, so that's nice. Considering how characters like Darth Vader and Yoda ended up in previous games, Geralt actually fits right in with the rest of the cast.

Geralt was the lead character for all three installments of The Witcher and it feels surreal seeing him appear in another game. He has his default look from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and uses his sword for combat, mixing it up with Sign Magic from the series' lore.

Unlike most guest characters, it seems like Geralt actually has a storyline reason for appearing in this universe. Apparently, fissures between the Soul Calibur universe and another appeared, resulting in Geralt's appearance. The Witcher even points out how he hates portals, which is a nice bit of self-awareness from the developers.

Another rumored character supposedly coming to Soul Calibur VI is Zoro from One Piece. He is an odd character to add but Bandai Namco has published One Piece games before, so it's not impossible. Still, take it with a grain of salt until the character is actually announced.

Soul Calibur VI comes out this year on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
