It's already been a month since the first season of The Witcher made its debut on Netflix. Viewers have been eagerly waiting for what's to come in the second season after a huge cliffhanger was featured in the season one's last episode. While most of the details are kept under wraps, it looks like The Witcher will add two new prominent directors for the second season.
According to the Redanian Intelligence, a site dedicated to the franchise, directors Edward Bazalgette and Sarah O'Gorman will oversee some episodes of The Witcher's second season. That being said, the site pointed out that the number of episodes they'll be directing are yet to be revealed.
Edward Bazalgette is a BAFTA-nominated director, who has worked on TV dramas since the early 2000s. Some of his recent works include The Last Kingdom, Poldark, Doctor Who, and Versailles. He also worked as an editor and producer prior to becoming a director. While Sarah O'Gorman is known for her works such as No Offence, Death in Paradise, Jamestown, and the upcoming Netflix series titled Cursed.
If this were confirmed, it looks like the show's second season will be in good hands. Fans will definitely be interested to see what both of the directors bring to the table and see their take on Andrej Sapkowski's novels. However, it is important to note that this report should be taken with a grain of salt.
