The Walking Dead May Be More Violent This Time

The Walking Dead has been slammed and questioned when it comes to the violence of the show since it let Negan into its character list.

And even with news of the showrunners toning down the violence a bit to cater to fans' tastes, it seems that it's still waiting to unleash another round of bloodshed. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, actor Andrew Lincoln revealed that the war is going to be a bloody one.

"Everybody knows that when war is called, there's going to be bloodshed. And interestingly, I think he realizes that this division is going to put him very much in the firing line and it's incredibly dangerous for everybody concerned, and that is very much part of the discussion in this back eight."

The upcoming episodes will also show how Rick will be as a leader after everything that's happened. will he be willing to sacrifice people for the greater good of defeating Negan? Will he be willing to risk them in this new but dangerous world?

All in all, there's a sort of thrill in how the latter half of the seventh season will go. Lincoln himself said it, that despite the tonally-different approach of the second half, there are also some incredible moments that had been great to portray onscreen.

Here's hoping that this delivers and translates into a better run for The Walking Dead when it returns on Feb. 12 on AMC.
