The Walking Dead Comics Presents Here’s Negan & New Character Cover

There's still a while to wait before we're faced with The Walking Dead season 8. But for comic book readers, there are a lot of things happening that will propel the story forward.

Image Comics has recently announced a graphic novel that's in the works. The focus of this is on Negan, hence the aptly titled The Walking Dead: Here's Negan! for the cover. IGN got a copy of the cover art, which shows him with his trademark smile and Lucille in hand with trails of blood.

The project is the origin story of the biggest villain of the franchise to date. Granted this is a compilation of the serialized story that came out in the magazine before. If you haven't seen those yet, this is a nice way of reading up in one go Negan's story and how he came to become the horrible bully that he is.

If that teaser cover isn't enough, the latest cover for issue 171 has been revealed—and it matches the issue title eerily well. Titled Fear the Princess, the cover shows a wild-haired woman in goggles and a pink fluffy jacket, a harsh and fierce expression on her face as she has her gun trained on the reader.

This cover was drawn by Charlie Adlard, as seen in his teaser tweet. Her description of being a princess is quite intriguing. We've already been given King Ezekiel, so my first reaction was to wonder how they're related (father and daughter, hence the princess?). But the biggest question is her role in The Walking Dead universe. Hopefully, she'll become a friend, because that badass get-up and potential attitude won't be going anywhere.

Tom Holland's audition showed just how great he'd be as Spidey.
