The Russo Brothers Say Hawkeye’s Going On A Solo Journey In Avengers: Infinity War

Marvel might be busy adding some steam to the marketing campaign of Avengers: Infinity War, but fans couldn't help but notice how Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) has been left out of the comic book movie's promotional material.

Now, sitting down for an interview on Infinity War's press set (via Comic Book) directors Joe and Anthony talk a little bit more about the kind of journey that Hawkeye's going to have when the first installment in their two-part Avengers movie premieres.

"Hawkeye coming out of Civil War is in the same position that the Cap and Falcon are in at the end of that movie," Joe said. "And Ant Man. And coming into this movie, the characters who are on Cap's side coming out of Civil War, some made certain decisions and others made other decisions that led to different paths and them dealing with oversight in this movie in a different way. So, Hawkeye's on his own journey in this movie."

"Yeah, he has a unique reaction to the Civil War situation that puts him in a special spot this film," his brother Anthony added in.

While this might be the reason why Clint's been left out of Infinity War's marketing, there's still a lot of questions surrounding Hawkeye. Will the Avengers member help in the fight against Thanos (in his own way), or will he be out on a mission on his own? What kind of journey is Hawkeye taking exactly?

Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Avengers: Infinity War premieres April 27.
