It looks like Jon Bernthal is hoping that Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) might spend some time with The Punisher during the second season of his standalone Marvel Netflix series.

Speaking at a question and answer session at this year's ACE Comic-Con in Arizona (via Screen Rant), Bernthal talked about The Punisher and the direction the series could take while sitting alongside Ebon Moss-Bachrach. During the discussion, The Punisher actor was asked which of the Defenders he'd like to fight alongside with during the series' newest season, and Bernthal gave a couple of quick and easy replies.

"You know, I love Charlie [Cox]. I've worked with him before and I'd work with him again on anything in a heartbeat. He's the reason I'm doing this. He brought me into this and his performance is what made me want to do it," the actor explained.

Bernthal also pitched Jessica Jones, saying that he'd love to throw around lines with the Marvel Netflix's spitfire detective.

"That being said, they're all great. I'm a huge fan of Krysten's [Ritter] too. She's killer and I'd love to work with her as well."

The Punisher didn't appear in the first season of The Defenders last year, so it'd be exciting to see the vigilante bantering with Jessica Jones and Daredevil in the second season of The Punisher.

The Punisher is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
