The Outer Worlds 2 Announced in Hilariously Unprepared Teaser

There is little doubt that everyone rushed to make sure they could drop some awesome announcements at E3 2021. This is especially true for Obsidian Entertainment as they unveiled a hilariously unprepared teaser for The Outer Worlds 2.

The teaser was shared during the Xbox/Bethesda presentation at E3 2021. It shows some amazing graphics but it's the self-aware voiceover that confirms the developers are not quite ready with the game just yet. The announcer simply describes what's happening in the footage and has no idea what the title is going to be about. They did manage to confirm that it's going to be called The Outer Worlds 2.

Although we don't know much about the new game, it's safe to assume that we'll be seeing a new universe and new characters. The official description for The Outer Worlds 2 reads as follows:

"New solar system, new crew, same Outer Worlds. The Outer Worlds 2 is coming...and when that day is closer we will show you more...but until then enjoy this."

The Outer Worlds was first released in 2019 and it brought gamers to a six-planet star system called Halcyon. The game has already sold over 2.5 million copies which exceeded the publisher's expectations and made a sequel possible.

For now, it's safe to assume that The Outer Worlds 2 is still in early development. In fact, the main character's look hasn't even been decided yet. Nevertheless, it's great to know that Obsidian Entertainment has something exciting to drop in the near future. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
