The Most Difficult Batman v Superman Scene For Jesse Eisenberg

Jesse Eisenberg portrayed different personalities of Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. But there’s apparently one scene in the movie that the 32-year-old actor had a really difficult time with even though he’s played the scene countless times in real life. The scene involves Luthor making a 3-point shot.

In an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Eisenberg revealed how he’s good at basketball, but when it came to playing the sport on the set of the DC movie, it took him 30 takes to complete because of the pressure.

Eisenberg told Fallon:

…And then the character has to turn around and have this very confident, villainous greeting to these people, but I just looked like someone who had finally made a shot after 30 baskets, which is like, exhausted and apologetic.

In the scene, Luthor had to deliver a line after making the 3-point shot at the LexCorp basketball court. Fortunately, Eisenberg was able to pull off the shot, while apparently making a convincing greeting to guests in the scene.

Thankfully for the character, he doesn’t need to have any athletic inclination to make money. Lex became a billionaire after inheriting LexCorp from his father. This fortune helps Luthor plot against Batman and Superman. From an oil and machinery company, Lex turns the company into a technology-based one to create Doomsday from the corpse of General Zod.

The scene may or may have no significance, but we’ll soon find out the rest of Lex’s antics when Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is released on March 25.
