It looks like The Lego Batman Movie director Chris McKay wants to move on from Lego superhero films to working on his very own live action movie in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU).

Back in 2014 McKay had worked very closely with the Lego Movie directors Christopher and Phil Lord and now the helmsman has his very own Lego spinoff, The Lego Batman Movie. However, now that the film is drawing closer to its release date this February, McKay admits that he wants to be part of the DCEU.

Responding to a fans suggestion that the director ought to work on helming a DCEU film, Mckay revealed that he'd really want to try and be part of the DC cinematic universe and pitchi his own film.

McKay hasn't specified which DC superhero he'd like to direct a film for just yet, but with all of the movies being lined up for Warner Bros.' DCEU, it seems like The Lego BatmanMovie director will have a lot of options to choose from if in case he really does become a DCEU director.

The Lego Batman Movie premieres on the big screen on Feb. 10 this year.
