The Last of Us Part 2 Voice Actor Teases Major Update After Release Delay

There is little doubt that people are disappointed that Sony Interactive Entertainment has decided to delay the release of The Last of Us Part II due to the Coronavirus outbreak. However, it looks like we could be getting an exciting update soon. Voice actor Troy Baker has just teased on "big news" in the horizon.

Baker, who provides the voice of Joel in the game, recently tweeted a cryptic message on Twitter. Check it out below.

"Some big news coming soon," Baker wrote. He then added, "Stay tuned."

Interestingly, Baker's post doesn't mention The Last of Us Part II. However, that hasn't stopped fans from speculating that it could mean the game will be getting a new release date later this year. Others believe that the title might be given a digital release instead. However, it is important to point out that Sony has not yet confirmed anything so it's best to take this with a grain of salt.

There are also speculations that Baker's post could be connected to Marvel's Avengers, which was also delayed due to COVID-19. For now, we will have to wait for an official announcement on either title.

The Last of Us Part II takes place five years after the first game and follows the 19-year-old Ellie as she tries to deal with a mysterious cult. Although the game was initially set for release on PlayStation 4 on May 29, Sony has decided to delay the release due to the Coronavirus outbreak. The title has not yet been given a new release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
