The Han Solo Spinoff's Getting A Different And “Brand New” Millennium Falcon

It looks like Lucasfilm's young Han Solo standalone movie's going take a new spin on the iconic Millennium Falcon as it shows audiences the Corellian YT-1300f light freighter's early days in space.

According to a report by Making Star Wars, Han Solo's Millennium Falcon will be a "brand new" vehicle belonging to Donald Glover's Lando Calrissian. Not only will the Falcon take on a color scheme that's a lot different from the rundown grey and weathered look of older Star Wars movies, but the ship will also have "blue detailing all over it" as well as a fresh coat of white paint. According to the site, the ship would look a little like the Falcon in the Revenge of the Sith.

That's not all. Fans are reportedly going to get the chance to see the Falcon doing things that they haven't seen before, like actually moving around cargo with a front attachment that "elongates" the ship. Though it seems like a seamless attachment, the fork can be detached to drop shipments if deals with the Imperial army get a bit too difficult.

Knowing how Han Solo's set during the younger years of everyone's favorite smuggler, it's no surprise that the Falcon would appear younger as well. It's going to be exciting seeing the Falcon with a fresh coat of paint on, sailing through space with Lando behind the wheel. Wonder how exactly it'll become Han's (Alden Ehrenreich) in the movie.

Han Solo premieres May 25, 2018.
