Hearing of developments for The Flash has been both bitter and sweet at the same time.

Sweet, because some truly awesome directors have already been tagged to the film's production. Also, the cast has already grown to include some equally great actors. Yet there's still a bitter aftertaste, because we've also read twice about the departures of both directors, Seth Grahame-Smith and Rick Famuyiwa from the set.

Famuyiwa has given his piece back when the news first broke. And we also heard what Iris West actress Kiersey Clemons has to say about the director exit, stating that it may have a deeper impact on her given their history in filmmaking.

Now we hear what The Flash actor Ezra Miller has to say about what's been going on.

In an interview with Collider, the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them actor revealed that the process of departures is a complicated matter. He is quick to add that these are far from dramatic or personal issues.

"These are groups of people taking the development of projects extremely seriously, and the teams are changing all the time. There's often a lot of flux in who the team of the production of a film is before that production starts, and in this case, you hear about it, because it's a critical figure--the directors that have been coming on and leaving me. For me, it's a sort of tragic relay race, and we've had a couple really incredible people carry this baton, and their marks are left on that baton, and the work that they've given to the project will certainly be represented in whatever the final product comes to be."

While there is no word yet on who will be replacing Famuyiwa on the project, it's certain that actors Miller and Clemons won't be going anywhere. Hopefully, the timeline for the film is still on track.

The Flash is set to release in theaters on March 16, 2018.
