The Flash Will Be Seeing Its Own Joker in the Trickster

Gotham fans may be looking forward to when Cameron Monaghan rejoins the cast as a (possibly modified) Joker prototype. But it seems that another DC TV series will see a similar Joker this new season.

One fan had teased over Twitter an on-set photo, this time featuring a very Joker-like Trickster.

Trickster has been portrayed by Mark Hamill in the previous season, and back then, he had devised some very insane plans in a couple of episodes. But back then, he looked more menacing and deranged in an electrified sort of way. Now Hamill is returning to the set of The Flash looking like Jack Nicholson's Joker in Batman—just check out that matching suit, the white-faced makeup, and that odd downcast frown that will turn upside down at the first sign of trouble.

Despite this makeup, it's highly possible that Hamill will still be reprising his role as the Trickster instead of adopting an Earth-3 version of the Joker. That crossover may be too much, no?

While the image does give us a new look at Trickster, we also see him side-by-side Jay Garrick, who portrays The Flash in another Earth. Will this be a face-off of sorts?

According to Screenrant, this possible scene between the two characters is already an Easter Egg in itself. That's because in an earlier series of the same title back in the 90s, John Wesley Shipp has already donned the suit as The Flash. And out to bring him trouble is Hamill, who also portrayed Trickster in the series.

That's not the first sneak peek we get for The Flash, as recently, The CW also gave us a first look of Jesse Quick's costume. There's also a new trailer feature Jesse in costume together with Flash.

The Flash airs every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. on The CW. It stars Grant Gustin as the Scarlet Speedster, Jesse L. Martin, Tom Cavanagh, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Keiynan Lonsdale, and Violette Beane.
