There's not a lot yet that's known about the upcoming The Flash solo movie starring Ezra Miller.
However, a new rumor is pointing to the possibility of the Red Speedster facing off against some bigwigs in his comic universe. According to Heroic Hollywood, it's possible that The Flash will be facing off against The Rogues.
These are the villains that have bonded together in an attempt to get the upper hand in a fight with The Flash. Among them are Pied Piper, the Top, Weather Wizard, the Trickster, Heat Wave, Mirror Master, and leader Captain Cold.
Most notably perhaps, is that Captain Boomerang is also in The Rogues. Fans who have seen Suicide Squad know that it was The Flash who was responsible for Captain Boomerang's incarceration with his fellow heathen teammates.
The Flash even showed up for more than a split-second in the movie, all decked in his cool costume and delivered that one line and smirk that pretty much sold Ezra Miller as The Flash to everybody.
As far as rumors go, however, it's best to take this with a grain of salt. There are still a couple of other movies that will arrive before The Flash, such as Wonder Woman on June 2, 2017 and Justice League on Nov. 17, 2017.
The movie doesn't even have a plot yet, at least not one that the creators are ready to share with the public yet. We do know that shooting for Justice League has already started, with The Flash slated to start production afterwards.
What are your thoughts on The Rogues' possible involvement with the DC cinematic universe via The Flash solo movie? I think it would explain The Flash's appearance in Suicide Squad, at least with the Captain Boomerang connection.
But that also hints at a bigger role for Suicide Squad down the line. And unless they can grow a storyline that far surpasses the first movie, I think The Rogues involvement is a toss-up for now.
