The Divergent Series: Allegiant has released its final trailer. The last time we saw Tris (Shailene Woodley) and the group, they successfully crossed the wall of Chicago into a supposedly better world, but the new trailer shows that their situation is far from becoming pretty.

Check out the final The Divergent Series: Allegiant trailer:

When The Divergent Series: Insurgent ended, the characters were given hope that a new and better world awaits them at the other side of the wall of Chicago. With the new trailer, we’re finding that Tris is not only special, but she’s the only person that deserves to live in her society since she’s genetically pure.

The trailer shows David (Jeff Daniels) exerting his influence to protect Tris, but at the same time eliminating all of Tris’ friends and family.

From the looks of it, Tris needs to be alive in order for the planet to breed a new generation of “pure people.”

While Allegiant is all set and good to go on March, the same can’t be said for the release of the next part of the series, The Divergent Series: Ascendent. Director Robert Schwentke just left production and the movie has yet to find a new person to fill in the role.

Hopefully, Schwentke’s exit doesn’t leave the film suffering. It would be hard to find a director willing to take on the final part of a series without any involvement in any of the previous films.

The Divergent Series: Allegiant Synopsis:
