Marvel TV's taken a while to build up its universe in Netflix, introducing great new heroes like Charlie Cox's Daredevil, Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones, Mike Colter's Luke Cage, and Finn Jone's Iron Fist. Now Marvel's gathering the four New York heroes together for TheDefenders and the studio's making sure that everyone remembers that the series is making its way to Netflix this August.
However, while fans are excited to see the heroes interact with one another for Marvel TV's version of the Avengers, it seems like Matt Murdock, Jessica, Luke and Danny Rand aren't too eager to get together.
Adding to the series' first tagline, "Not here to make friends," Marvel TV's also released a new statement and a bunch of new motion posters.
"[The Defenders are] a quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together."
Marvel TV's been busy making sure that fans remember that its Netflix heroes are getting together next, next month, albeit unwillingly. Last week, the Twitter handles of the four New York heroes gave fans a taste of their banter online, and now the marketing team's showing off new motion posters that could pass off as paraphernalia for a punk band.
The Defenders releases on Netflix on August 18, 2017.
