The DC Character Arrow Star Stephen Amell is Dying To Play


Now that Geoff Johns has been put in a major position of power at Warner Bros., the DC Extended Universe is in full swing. Johns and Ben Affleck are working on a standalone Batman film, and it's rumored to include a lot of Batman's villains. The casting for the film's villains hasn't been announced yet, but one actor spoke out about his interest in playing the role of The Riddler.

During his press release for his role as Casey Jones in the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turltes: Out of the Shadows film, Arrow star Stephen Amell recently discussed his desire to play the Batman villain.

In an interview with CinePop, Amell talked about the idea of playing The Riddler, saying "I always get this question. I think all the superheroes are taken now. I'll play The Riddler, okay? It's a villain, but I like The Riddler."

Edward Nygma, a.k.a. The Riddler has been a staple in the Batman Universe since his debut in Detective Comics #140. The only big screen version of The Riddler was played by Jim Carrey in the 1995 film Batman Forever.
