Terminator 6 Will Start Shooting Early 2018

It's been more than 25 years since James Cameron worked on the Terminator franchise, but he's now returning to produce the sixth Terminator movie with Deadpool's Tim Miller set to direct. The production seems to be on the fast track, and filming is said to start early next year.

According to My Entertainment World (via Omega Underground) Terminator 6's production is set to start filming late March in locations like Budapest, Spain, and Hungary. Prometheus production designer Sonja Klaus as also been hired to work on the movie, but besides that, we have no new information.

So far, it's been said that this film will be ignoring the last three Terminator movies and will be serving as a direct sequel to Terminator 2. The movie will see the return of Arnold Schwarzenegger as everyone's favorite model T-800 and, surprisingly, the original Sarah Connor herself, Linda Hamilton.

Cameron has confirmed that though these franchise alumni will be coming back, the movie will be focusing on an entirely new batch of characters, with a young woman in the lead. After the critical bombs that were the last three Terminator movies, a lot of people are excited to see Cameron coming back to the franchise that he made popular in the first place.

Terminator 6 is set for a release date on July 26, 2019.
