Terminator 6 Starts Filming in June

James Cameron is teaming up with Deadpool director Tim Miller to work on the next Terminator film, and it will see the return of franchise veterans Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton. As it turns out, pre-production for the movie is going smoothly, and the film could start shooting later this year.

According to TheArnoldFans, Schwarzenegger himself confirmed:

"We are starting to shoot Terminator 6 in June to the middle of October, so I am in that. I am looking forward to coming back as the T-800 model. It's gonna be great with Tim Miller as the director and Jim Cameron is kind of supervising the whole thing."

The last two Terminator movies, Salvation and Genisys, had tried to kickstart a new trilogy of films each, but due to sour reception, each trilogy was dead on arrival. Now it looks like James Cameron is taking some time from working on his Avatar films to help Miller steer the film in the right direction.

We don't know too much about the story yet, but it has been said that this trilogy is aiming to focus on a batch of fresh young characters, and the veterans like Schwarzenegger's T-800 and Linda Hamilton's Sarah Connor will be showing up as side characters. Kind of sounds like the Star Wars sequel trilogy if you ask me.

Terminator 6 is aiming for a release on July 26, 2019.
