Teen Titans Go! Movie Gets Official Synopsis

The synopsis for Teen Titans Go! To the Movies has been released and it looks like it will be a satire of the current comic book/superhero trend Hollywood has been in lately. Fans of the show will probably be cool with this since normal episodes often mix random humor with parodies and satires. It should also make for a humorous concept since it involves the superhero team trying to get a worthwhile director for their film.

Announced back in September, the film will star the cast from the show, Greg Cipes, Scott Menville, Khary Payton, Tara Strong and Hynden Walch. It will also have Kristen Bell and Will Arnett in roles that have yet to be announced. Maybe they will be the villains of the film or major supporting characters but it should be fun seeing them interact with these versions of the DC superhero group.

Here's the synopsis:

It seems to the Teens that all the major superheroes out there are starring in their own movies—everyone but the Teen Titans, that is! But de facto leader Robin is determined to remedy the situation, and be seen as a star instead of a sidekick. If only they could get the hottest Hollywood film director to notice them. With a few madcap ideas and a song in their heart, the Teen Titans head to Tinsel Town, certain to pull off their dream. But when the group is radically misdirected by a seriously super villain and his maniacal plan to take over the Earth, things really go awry. The team finds their friendship and their fighting spirit failing, putting the very fate of the Teen Titans themselves on the line!

Teen Titans Go! To The Movies is slated for a July 27, 2018, release.
