System Shock 3 Finally Announced

Love Cyberpunk role-playing games? Well, if you do, the future is on your side.

OtherSide Entertainment, the new developer focused on reviving classic video game franchises, has officially announced the development on System Shock 3, the long-awaited follow-up to the classic PC Cyberpunk role-playing game series.

Last week, OtherSide launched a teaser site, with cryptic lettering hinting at the new game, prematurely unveiling the game's title. Now the series' AI antagonist SHODAN seems to mock the hackers with new taunts each day.

In the teaser site, you can hear the voice of Terri Brosius (System Shock 1 & 2,Dishonored) reprising her role as the voice of SHODAN, and an early peek at SHODAN's new look.

The development team for System Shock 3 includes members of the original System Shock and System Shock 2 teams.

OtherSide secured the exclusive IP rights to future versions of System Shock years ago, but just recently formed a partnership with Night Dive Studios, owners of the System Shock trademark, to use the System Shock name.

System Shock 3 is still in the early stages of development, so not a lot of details have been revealed yet. We'll keep you updated about it soon.
