Though DC fans are probably gearing up for the release of Wonder Woman this June, news has also been coming out for next year's slew of films, particularly The Flash and Aquaman. Thanks to a casting call website called Acting Auditions, fans get a new synopsis for next year's Aquaman.
The synopsis reads:
Aquaman will center on Aquaman as a reluctant ruler of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis who is caught between land dwellers that are always polluting the globe and his own people who are ready to invade the surface.
The site has also confirmed the role of actress Nicole Kidman in the film, and she'll be playing Arthur Curry/Aquaman's mother Atlanna.
Other actors and their roles for Aquaman also include Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry, Patrick Wilson as Orm/Ocean Master, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Amber Heard as Mera, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, and of course, Jason Momoa as Aquaman.
It looks like 2018 will be the year of reluctant kings of hidden cities. Aside from Aquaman unsure about ruling Atlantis, Marvel will also be releasing Black Panther, a story focusing on T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman), who has to rule over his Kingdom of Wakanda after the untimely death of his father in Captain America: Civil War.
Aquaman is set for a release on October 2018.
