Rick and Morty is currently the biggest comedy in Adult Swim, and it only makes sense that the developers would want to bank on some sweet merchandising for the show. Co-creator Justin Roiland has just unveiled the first playset for the series, and he teases a lot more coming this January.
The playset is recreating a scene from season one episode LawnmowerDog in which the Smith family dog Snuffles gains sentience and attempts to overtake the human race—all with the new moniker "Snowball." This specific scene is one where Summer is being interrogated by Snowball on where his testicles have gone. Classic.
As for future playsets, I can easily imagine another one with Rick and Morty as well as Jerry and Beth. Some other characters in the show probably deserve their own figures as well like Mr. Meeseeks as well as Evil Morty and Mr. Jellybean. Not to mention there's also a bunch of different versions of Ricks and Mortys who live in the Citadel of Ricks.
Rick and Morty has just wrapped up its third season, and though we have no confirmation date on season four, co-creator Dan Harmon has promised that he'll be giving us more episodes this time around. Let's hope we don't get any more delays.
