Suicide Squad 2 Eyes Another Director

Suicide Squad 2 is seeing a lot of traction recently. Apart from Mel Gibson's talks for possible director of the film, Legend of Tarzan director was also tagged as a possible writer for the film.

Now, it seems that Warner Bros. is trying its best to make sure that the sequel will really happen. Another directorial potential recently surfaced in Meet the Movie Press's recent report, seen below.

Here, it was brought up that Jaume Collet-Serra, known for his work in House of Wax and Shallows, is supposedly a possible backup, in case Gibson backs out of the project. The thrilling and fast-paced style of Collet-Serra may be a good background for Suicide Squad 2.

Whatever the case may be, it looks like Warner Bros really wants to make sure that the sequel will push through. Other names that have popped up in relation to Suicide Squad 2 includes Jonathan Levine, Daniel Espinosa, and Ruben Fleischer.

The previous director, David Ayer, won't be available because he's looking to focus on Gotham City Sirens, which stars the female supervillains in the DC universe, with of course Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn in the bill.

Suicide Squad 2 doesn't have a release date yet, though it has been rumored to be one of the films that DC is looking to shoot as soon as possible.
