Suicide Squad 2 Could Start Shooting Later This Year After Wonder Woman Sequel

The Wonder Woman sequel is said to be aiming for a production date on May, but afterwards, it looks like the DCEU will be working on another sequel, Suicide Squad 2.

According to Omega Underground, the Suicide Squad sequel is aiming to start shooting this October in the UK. Seeing that Wonder Woman 2 is starting production in May in the same studio, Suicide Squad could very well follow-up after WW2 wraps months later.

It's worth noting that we've been getting very sparse updates on Suicide Squad as well. Besides Will Smith and Margot Robbie, we don't know who else from the original cast is set to return. There have also been rumors that Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam will be the villain for the film, but none of that has been confirmed.

As for the director, David Ayer will not be returning. Instead, we'll bet getting Warrior helmer Gavin O'Connor. I don't know why, but for some reason, there hasn't been much buzz and updates on the movie. I'm just crossing my fingers that the sequel actually ends up better than the first film—which was a total mess, and rife with studio interference.

We don't have an official release date for Suicide Squad 2 but the movie looks to be aiming for a 2019 release.
