So, uh, yeah, Borderlands 3 is basically official now isn't it? Fans have always dug Gearbox's addictive loot-based first-person shooter with RPG mechanics, managing to be a satisfying single-player game with great multiplayer. It's a tricky balance that a lot of games don't get to achieve so the fact that we'll be getting an official third game is a dream come true for many.
The stylish trailer above should make fans giddy, with all the generic Jason Vorhees-inspired mooks and some potential new characters. It looks like we're in for an epic good time with plenty of fun shooting in between so let's hope the third game lives up to the hype, especially given how well-liked the previous games were.
While fans love all of the games, the series' story really started picking up with Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and Tales of The Borderlands from Telltale Games. In fact, the latter impressed many with just how well-done the story was, so fans are actually expecting a lot from this new game.
Here is hoping that the game keeps the unique cel-shaded look that previous installments had. It gave the game a unique identity and many would be disappointed if it has a generic visual look.
More information on Borderlands 3 will be revealed tomorrow.
