The recently revealed screenplay for Stranger Things Season 4 Episode 7, titled The Massacre at Hawkins Lab, cleared one famous theory about the Hawkins Lab and Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn).

There are claims that another number may have survived the Hawkins massacre aside from Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), One/Henry Creel/Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower), and Eight/Kali (Linnea Berthelsen). However, with the flashback scene in Stranger Things Season 4 Episode 7 and the release of its screenplay, there were only three survivors.

The Massacre at Hawkins Lab Episode

The said episode was one of the most shocking after revealing the real culprit behind the mass murder at the lab in 1979. However, some mysteries remain unsolved.

There are claims Ten, the number with whom Dr. Brenner (Matthew Modine) was during the massacre, has survived and only faked his death. Some even believe he became Eddie when he grew up.

However, the screenplay revealed that One/Henry Creel murdered Ten.

“Inside, [Eleven] sees Brenner, unconscious; Ten’s mangled dead body lies near him,” it read, via ScreenRant.

He didn’t experience a resurrection of any sort, revealing he was one of the 15 children, One killed during that fateful event.

The Only Ally Eleven Has Against Vecna

This means Eleven may only have one ally when she faces Vecna in Stranger Things Season 5.

Kali is the only supernatural child Eleven can seek help from to bring down Vecna and shut the Upside Down close for good.

During the killings at the lab, Eleven banished One to the Upside Down, ending up saving her life. Kali, alternatively, had long escaped the lab even before the mass murder occurred.

It remains to be seen why One left Kali alive after the massacre. He didn’t even bother to look for him like he did with Eleven.
