Stranger Things Releases Cryptic Photo With Possible Season 2 Release Date

The team behind the Stranger Things Twitter handle has just released a cryptic image featuring a the weather forecast for the city and state hosting this year's NFL Super Bowl and new theories indicate that there could be something more to the post.

After Netflix announced that it would be releasing a new teaser trailer for Stranger Things during the NFL championship game at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas this year , the network decided to send out a new weather forecast for the game on the show's Twitter account.

Though the image seems innocent enough, IGN reports that there might be something more to the forecast, suggesting that the photo may hold a teaser for Stranger Things' season 2 premiere date.

Taking a look at the differences between Friday's lowest and highest temperature gives a result of 9, Saturday's temperature difference gives 8. The barometric pressure gives us a 17. Coming together, all of these read September 8, 2017 – a possible release date for Stranger Things season 2. While this could be the publication overthinking the network's Twitter status, the alleged release date may get a confirmation when Netflix releases the teaser for Stranger Things season 2 tomorrow.

Stranger Things season 2 premieres on Netflix sometime this year.
