Stephen King Thinks Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey Will Be Involved in The Dark Tower Movie

The film adaptation of Stephen King's The Dark Tower has been in the works for years, but now it seems they're moving forward as Stephen King himself talked about the actors who will probably play the lead roles in the upcoming multi-genre film. A few months ago, we reported that Idris Elba would play the gunslinger Roland Deschain and Matthew McConaughey would play the Man in Black.

During the interview with Rolling Stone, he sounds confident that the film will happen with both actors attached:

"It looks to me like it's more likely than not it'll happen at this point," he says. "Let's put it that way."
"I think that it's more likely than not that Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey will be in it," King says. "But I can't say with any certainty. I know that they're trying to make deals with these actors [and] with Sony, and that's the extent of my knowledge."

Both Elba and McConaughey are both brilliant actors, and seeing them in a movie based on King's magnum opus would be exciting to watch.

So would you like to see both actors in The Dark Tower movie?
