Cameos in the Star Wars saga have been fun to spot—or sometimes really hard to spot until the credits, because of that darn Stormtrooper mask.
For Star Wars: The Last Jedi, an earlier hinted cameo won't be hidden entirely in the dark as a Stormtrooper. Confirming in an interview with Lorraine (via The Sun), Take That's Gary Barlow said that his role won't be a Stormtrooper.
"I'm not a Stormtrooper, but I am in it. Now I've said that, I'll probably be out. I think the Star Wars people are so strict about what information [is out there]. So me saying that, I've probably just done myself out of a role."
Of course, this isn't true, since Lorraine's Dan Wootton had confirmed first with the franchise's execs for the reveal, so all is good, and we'll probably still see Barlow. Unless he's got a ton of makeup or prosthetics on him in the movie.
This isn't the first time that Barlow was reported to have a role in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. As early as May 2016, it was already reported that he had finished filming secretly at Pinewood Studios. However, the reports back then had pointed to a Stormtrooper role.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be out in theaters on Dec. 15.
