Star Wars: The Last Jedi’s Porgs Run Away With BB-8’s Head In New Debut

Star Wars fans might have been expressing their concern over The Last Jedi’s porgs ever since the wide-eyed birds started making the rounds in Star Wars leaks online, however while others complain that the porgs are another merchandise machination by Lucasfilm, others find themselves excited to see these cutie pies make their debut on the big screen.

Though it’s going to take a few more months till we all get to see the fanbase’s cute porg overlords run around in The Force Awakens sequel, Lucasfilm has a new animated video featuring the creature’s playtime with BB-8.

A short Star Wars blip, the video shows a group of porgs running off with BB-8’s head. Though the droid does manage to get its head back, the sequel trilogy’s new automaton mascot finds himself being chased by a horde of porgs.

Short as it may be, this new animated video might certainly help win some anti-porg fans over. Sure, the porgs might be the franchise’s new ewoks, but come on, porgs running away with BB-8’s head? That’s a winning combination right there. We wonder what kind of shenanigans these little critters will get into when they make their way to the big screen later this year.
