Star Wars: The Last Jedi is just a few days away from its premiere, and everyone's wondering whether Lucasfilm might roll out sneak peek footage of its upcoming spinoff, Solo: A Star Wars Story, along with the upcoming sequel trilogy installment.

There have been rumors that a preview of Solo might come out during special screenings of The Force Awakens sequel by multiple theater chains around the US – screenings that not only offer exclusive collectibles but also exclusive content.

According to a report by Kinometro (translation via Reddit user Self.StarWarsLeaks), footage from Solo has actually been screened at a Russian press event.

"The franchise's upcoming spin-off - the Han Solo solo movie - was represented by a behind-the-scenes video featuring comments from the cast and the director of the film. The film is expected to come out on May 24, 2018."

Sure it might just be a behind-the-scenes video, but there's a lot to see in a reel and fans can certainly learn a lot about the upcoming spinoff through the cast and crew's commentary. Solo is set to premiere in May next year, so the idea that Lucasfilm would start rolling out footage of the upcoming spinoff during special screenings of The Last Jedi isn't that far-fetched.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits cinemas December 15, 2017.
