Star Wars: The Last Jedi Novel Reveals That Luke And Snoke Actually Connected Before

Star Wars fans might not have seen Snoke (Andy Serkis) and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) sharing scenes to together in The Last Jedi, but it seems like the two actually met each other before.

According to the novelization of The Force Awakens sequel (via Cinema Blend ), Luke had actually connected with Snoke to broaden his knowledge of the Force years before the events of Lucasfilm's sequel trilogy installment. The connection happened a few decades after Return of the Jedi when Luke traveled with R2-DW around the galaxy to learn more about the history of the Jedi and the Force.

Though the book doesn't specify whether Luke new about Snoke's connection with the Dark Side of the Force when they met, we're fairly certain that connecting with the Supreme Leader during his years hiding was one of the Jedi Master's regrets while hiding in Ahch-To.

It's a certainly interesting tidbit from The Last Jedi's new novelization. One has to wonder whether Luke could have saved the galaxy from the First Order had he learned about Snoke's true nature earlier and decided to put an end to Dark Side user before he gained even more power.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi's digital release is on March 13. The film's Blu-Ray release is on March 27.
