Star Wars: The Last Jedi Dominates Social Media Buzz Along With The Incredibles 2


Star Wars: The Last Jedi is making its big premiere next, next week and the Star Wars sequel trilogy installment is dominating social media again, generating new conversations after the release of a new TV spot and a slew of new images throughout the week.

According to a report by media-measurement firm comScore (via Variety), the Star Wars: Force Awakens sequel generated about 121,000 new conversations on social media over the weekend after Lucasfilm released a new TV spot on Monday, November 20, and then followed up the release by rolling out a bunch of new images featuring the cast of the highly anticipated film.

The film is tracking pretty well, with analysts predicting that the film could earn more than $200 million at the US Box office with its pre-launch tracking showing around 4.12 million new conversations generated three weeks before the film's premiere.

Disney and Pixar's trailer for The Incredible 2 has also raked in 117,000 new conversations after the teaser was released last weekend. Fans have been waiting for the film for years. Hoping for a sequel to the original animated superhero movie right after the film premiered back in 2004.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits cinemas December 15, 2017, while The Incredibles 2 makes its big debut on June 15, 2018.
