Star Wars: The Force Awakens Unused Concept Art Used in Star Wars Rebels

A lot of the design for Star Wars Rebels came from unused concept art from the original trilogy by Ralph McQuarrie. The team behind the animated series is also looking a unused art created for Star Wars: The Force Awakens for inspiration on creativing characters for Rebels.

The new episode of

Star Wars Rebels

featured a character tat was based on a character originally designed for

The Force Awakens

. Now, we got a piece of concept art by Industrial Light & Magic senior art director Christain Alzmann, who also helped design the new droid, BB-8.

The character, voiced on the show by Philip Anthony-Rodriguez

is called Fifth Brother, and he's one of the Inquisitors sent out by Darth Vader and the Emperor to help stop the rebellion against the Empire before the events of

A New Hope

adds that the Fifth Brother is "content to kill any Jedi he found rather than use them for information or traps against the wider rebellion."

The concept art above came from

Star Wars Rebels'

Facebook page.
