Star Wars: The Force Awakens isn't done breaking box office records. In its first week of release, the film has taken in $391.1 million at the domestic box office, breaking the opening week domestic record by close to a hundred million. The previous record was held by Jurassic World, which earned $296.2 million during its first week at the domestic box office earlier this year.

In addition to its week record, The Force Awakens also broke the record for the biggest Christmas Day gross of all time. THR reports that The Force Awakens will earn $35 million-$40 million on Christmas. That surpasses the previous record of $24.6M held by Guy Ritchie's 2009 film Sherlock Holmes starring Robert Downey Jr.

Last weekend, the new Star Wars film took the opening weekend box office record away from Jurassic World with $247.9M. And now The Force Awakens is aiming to beat Jurassic World's biggest second weekend record of $106M. That record should crumble as The Force Awakens is expected to gross $120M.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is now showing in theaters.
