Star Wars: The Force Awakens Full Trailer Reportedly Coming During Monday Night Football

Earlier this week, multiple sources reported that Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released on Monday, Oct. 19. According to a new report from Making Star Wars, the new trailer will debut during Monday Night Football on ESPN.

ESPN is owned by Disney, the parent company of Lucasfilm, so it makes sense that they'll reveal the trailer on that network. The rumor also claims that the Monday Night Football broadcast will actually be themed to Star Wars: The Force Awakens. That means the show will have themed graphics, scores, and even, allegedly, an opening crawl.

The MNF broadcast will feature a match between major division rivals Philedelphia Eagles and New York Giants. I'm not a big football fan, but I'll probably turn on my TV to wait for it. Are you excited to see the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer?

The film will be released in theaters on Dec. 18. For now, you can watch the latest teaser showing Boyega wielding a lightsaber, and check out the fantastic limited-edition 3-D glasses that you'll get when you watch Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 3-D in select theaters.
