Star Wars: So How Did Darth Vader Stop Han Solo's Blaster In Empire Strikes Back?

Pablo Hidalgo is a member of the Star Wars story group, and since he's so active on Twitter, you can expect a lot of fans to badger him constantly with questions about a galaxy far far away. A fan just asked him why Vader was able to stop Han Solo's blaster fire in Empire Strikes Back, and Hidalgo promptly gives him a reply:

If it wasn't obvious already, that post was a joke, and it calls back to an old book series that isn't even canon anymore. If you're looking for a solid answer, you can say that the Force users can manipulate blaster fire, and another example would be Kylo Ren stopping Poe's blaster bolt when he tried to shoot him in The Force Awakens.

With the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, some fans are expecting to see more of Vader's history explored, hence the introduction of his castle in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. It's rumored that the cape we see Kylo wearing in the promo material is actually an old cloak of Vader's, and people are guessing that Ren will be visiting his grandfather's home away from home on Mustafar.

Then again, this is all just speculation. Don't say I promised any of it will happen in the movie.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi comes out Dec. 15.
