Star Wars: Lucasfilm is Looking to Put More Focus on Games?

EA had recently gotten into a lot of heat after it was announced that they cancelled a Star Wars game. While the franchise has recently been focused on movies and TV, it looks like Lucasfilm is looking to explore video games once more.

As per Reddit, Lucasfilm Games is currently hiring for developers. We don't really know what kind of games to expect as of now, but seeing as Star Wars had spawned multiple games back during the Lucasarts days, there's a lot of potential for the future.

For now, EA is currently gearing up for the release of Star Wars: Fallen Order which promises to be a single-player platformer that will focus on the story of a young Jedi who survives Order 66. We don't really have a good look of the game yet, but some are expecting it to be the spiritual successor of the Force Unleashed games. We should expect our first look this coming Star Wars Celebration.

Ever since EA got the license to develop Star Wars games, fans have been annoyed that there hasn't been anything releases apart from the Battlefront series. With an expansive world with so much potential, a lot of pressure is now on EA to do something with their Star Wars license. Hopefully before the year ends we get some announcement of what other games are in the pipeline.

Star Wars: Fallen Order is expected to come out later this year. Star Wars Battlefront II is currently playable for Xbox One, PC, and PS4.
