Star Wars’ John Boyega Would Personally Want To See Rey End Up With Finn

Romance might not be a heavily integral part of Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but fans have been cheering for various couplings in Lucasfilm's sequel trilogy. Some have continued to hope for a romance between Finn (John Boyega) and Poe (Oscar Isaacs) others have been busy gushing over the chemistry between Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).

Though we're largely unsure where Episode IX will take us when it premieres next year, Boyega also has his eyes own his own romantic ship, hoping that Finn would end up having a romantic relationship with Rey.

Speaking with Slash Film to help promote Pacific Rim Uprising, the Star Wars actor was asked about his preferred love interest for the sequel trilogy's stormtrooper-turned-Resistance-Fighter .

"Because Finn is the one character, for me, who has a distinct, unique relationship with everybody. He had this kind of banterous relationship with Han, then he has this loving relationship with Rey. Now with Rose, it feels like he has this great relationship. Personally? Rey. Yeah, Rey," Boyega said.

Boyega's answer doesn't come as a surprise. The sequel trilogy might be pushing Finn toward Rose (Kelly Marie Tran) but Rey has been an important part of Finn's character motivation from the very start. That and the two have also shared flirtatious banter together in the films.

Let's just wait and see where this all leads to.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi gets its Digital HD release on March 13 and its Blu-Ray and DVD release on March 27.
