No one expected Star Wars: The Last Jedi to be so divisive. The film may have received a ton of praise from critics but audiences have been split about its actual quality. Some say it's the best Star Wars film in the franchise, while others claim that it's an insult and should be removed from the canon. Others even want to take down Rotten Tomatoes but they could have just been trolling.
John Boyega, the actor who portrays Finn in the film, has seemingly addressed those that did not enjoy The Last Jedi.
In a vague Tweet, Boyega says "you know guys…..people like things you don't….," before he explains how big the planet is and that people are entitled to their opinion. Though he does not mention The Last Jedi in this Tweet, it's hard to proclaim that it's about anything other than that.
Boyega's scenes in the film are actually considered part of the film's controversy. Many feel that the section involving Finn and Rose was ultimately pointless in the grand scheme of things. It did lead to a stunning climax however but that will be debated until the next Star Wars film comes out.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is showing in theaters now.
