Star Wars IX Script Officially Finished

You think with Star Wars: The Last Jedi coming out in December we wouldn't get any news on the sequel. Lucasfilm is apparently thinking ahead, and reports are saying that the draft for Star Wars Episode IX is already finished.

In an interview with MTV at CInemaCon, director Colin Trevorrow opens up about the progress behind Star Wars IX. He says:

"We're writing, we're designing, and there is a draft. You know, we're throwing 110 percent of our souls into it, so there will be nothing left of me when I'm done."

A lot is being expected of Trevorrow since his Star Wars movie will be the one to cap off the sequel trilogy. After the success of Jurassic World, hopefully Trevorrow is able to bring the same magic to Star Wars IX when production finally begins.

As of now, we barely have an idea on what could happen in Star WarsEpisode IX, but hopefully it sees a satisfying conclusion to the stories of Finn and Rey. After Force Awakens was met with mixed reaction from fans for being a total rehash of A New Hope, fans are hoping that Rian Johnson's The Last Jedi will be more than just a rehash of The Empire Strikes Back.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters Dec. 15.
