Star Wars Force For Change Winner Talks About His Force Awakens Cameo Experience

While a lot of fans expecting the trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi hated how the Good Morning America's pre-Celebration Star Wars news announcementturned out to be a campaign for the Star Wars Force For Change charity drive, this particular fan reminds others how great it is to actually win contests for the Force For Change.

Every fan dreams of having a cameo in a Star Wars film, and the winner of the 2014 Star Wars Force For Change contest who got to cameo in The Force Awakens has just recently shared with everyone what it's like to win a walk-on appearance in a Star Wars film. D.C. Barns, the lucky Star Wars fan from Denver, Colorado has outlined his epic Star Wars film experience in a recent Reddit Ask-Me-Anything Session for fans to drool over.

"For the scene I was in," Barns explained, "JJ Abrams wanted a very big and exaggerated reaction from all the extras. The end result in the film doesn't seem exaggerated at all. Which is interesting. For the scenes with Daisy and John, that I watched, he wanted them to act in very subtle way. JJ Abrams is a fascinating director watch. (not that I've watched any others.)"

Unfortunately, one of Barn's best cameo moments in the film got cut off from The Force Awakens' theatrical release. It did make it as a deleted scene during the home release though, so that's pretty interesting.

"The best moment when I was filming was a part that go cut out of the film, but made its way into the deleted scenes on the Blu-ray. But it's when Unkar Plutt get's his arm pulled off by Chewbacca and it gets thrown at me."

Barns also got to chat with the stars of the film like Harrison Ford, Daisy Ridley and John Boyega.

"Harrison Ford is exactly like you see him in interviews." Barns revealed. "Cool as anything with very dry humor. He has a kind sense about him. Daisy Ridley was super sweet and cheerful. I got the sense that she was as amazed by all of it as I was. John Boyega is very nice and happy. He is a high energy type fellow. Everyone, and I mean everyone in the cast and crew were super-amazingly nice and excited to be working on their dream!"

Though a lot of fans felt cheated by Good Morning America's Star Wars Force For Change announcement, there will be lucky others like Barn who'll win once-in-a-life-time Star Wars experiences like this.

The next Star Wars film, Star Wars: The Last Jedi is directed by Rian Johnson and features Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Peter Mayhew, Andy Serkis, Anthony Daniels, Lupita Nyong'o Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Benicio Del Toro, Kelly Marie Tran, and Laura Dern.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is scheduled to debut in cinemas on December 15, 2017.
