The Movie Bit's sources reported some details from Rian Johnson's Star Wars: Episode VIII, which will start filming on September 14 at Skellig Michael. The Irish island was used for The Force Awakens, and it's believed to be Luke Skywalker's current home as he Mark Hamill was photographed being on the remote location in July and August of last year.
According to Movie Bit, they will film there for 6 weeks, and the place will have "a far larger role in Episode 8 than Episode 7."
Movie Bit also said: "Our source also informs us that the final cut of The Force Awakens is just about done and the final shot is a slow zoom out of Skellig Michael."
About the casting, Geek Nation's sources reported that Star Wars: Episode VIII is seeking a "strong, young female character to be featured heavily.". They speculate that the female character is Han Solo's daughter, despite rumors saying that is who Daisy Ridley's Rey will turn out to be.
Rian Johnson's Star Wars: Episode VIII will be released in theaters on May 26, 2017.
